6-Foot Shark Washes Up At The Jersey Shore

VENTNOR (CBS) -- Beach-goers got the shock of a lifetime today when a shark washed up at the Jersey Shore -- and it was still alive.

Ventnor City Beach Patrol say the shark that washed up on Ventnor Beach at Sacramento Avenue  is approximately six feet long.

A group of people were able to help get it back in the water.

It's unclear what kind of shark it was but at this point officials say there is no danger to the public.
