Eagles Sign Darren Sproles To One-Year Extension
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Philadelphia Eagles have signed Darren Sproles to a one-year contract extension, the team announced on Friday. The deal is worth $4.5 million, according to the NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
Sproles, 33, was acquired by the Eagles during the 2014 offseason in a trade with the New Orleans Saints. Sproles, entering his 12th NFL season, was originally a fourth-round pick of the San Diego Chargers in 2005.
Sproles currently ranks 11th all-time in NFL history with 17,903 all-purpose yards and has reached the Pro Bowl in his first two seasons as an Eagle as a return specialist.
