In Show Of Unity, Bernie Sanders Moves To Nominate Hillary Clinton For President

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Hillary Clinton made history on Tuesday when she became the first woman to receive the nomination of a major party for president of the United States.

While the spotlight went to Clinton, some notable attention also went to Senator Bernie Sanders, who fought Clinton for the nomination. Sanders came down when the Vermont delegation read out their votes, casting 22 for Sanders and four for Clinton.

Sanders gave a speech on Monday that urged his supporters to get behind Hillary Clinton and on Tuesday, he echoed that sentiment.

The crowd echoed in chants of Bernie, as the mic was handed to him. Sanders moved that all delegate votes be reflected in the official record for Clinton and that she officially receive the nomination of the party for president.
