Bill Clinton Will Make The Case For His Wife On Day 2 Of DNC

By Tim Jimenez

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's day two of the Democratic National Convention and history will be made in Philadelphia as Hillary Clinton will officially become the first woman to be the presidential nominee of a major political party.

But if it's anything like the first day of the convention, then it won't be smooth sailing for the Clinton camp.

Tonight, the roll call vote: the delegates officially pledge their support. How will the nearly 1,900 Bernie Sanders delegates handle it? How much of yesterday's energy, passion and booing will spillover?

It's a big wait and see night at the convention with the theme, "A lifetime of fighting for children and families."

Among the speakers are some locals like Kate Burdick, an attorney with the Juvenile Law Center in Philadelphia, and Anton Moore, who leads Philly non-profit Unity in the Community.

The mothers of Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Sandra Bland and Trayvon Martin will also speak.

House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi will take the stage. Along with the headliner, former president Bill Clinton, who could be the first first gentleman in American history.
