DNC Holds First Daily Convention Press Meeting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The DNC held its first daily press meeting Monday morning, and it comes on the heels of Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz announcing she is stepping down after a series of emails indicated she tried to cast suspicion on the Bernie Sanders campaign.
Hillary Clinton's campaign manager Robby Mook fielded questions about what Clinton and the Democratic Committee knew about hacked emails posted online.
"The DNC is reviewing all of the information. It's important to recognize when hackers dump something, sometimes the information is doctored. So there's a process in place to review this information and they will take appropriate action," said Mook.
Mook dodged questions, and repeated statements made by Clinton and Wasserman-Schultz. Instead, he tried to draw focus to uniting the party.
"Our convention could not be a greater contrast to what we saw with the republicans last week. Our party is coming here together to unify, to elect Hillary Clinton, and defeat Donald Trump," he said.
The committee will hold briefings every morning this week.
