Browns WR Josh Gordon Reinstated By NFL, Per Report

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has been reinstated by the NFL and suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season, according to the NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.

According to Rapoport, Gordon can participate in training camp, preseason games, and team meetings during his suspension.

Gordon, 25, has been suspended since last February for violating the league's drug policy and program for substance abuse.

In 2013, Gordon caught 87 balls for 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns in 14 games with the Browns.

Gordon is slated to return in Week 5 at home against the New England Patriots, the same week Patriots QB Tom Brady will return from his four-game suspension.
