Woman Struck By Vehicle Fleeing Chick Fil A Drive Thru

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) -- Police say a woman was assaulted with a vehicle on Friday afternoon in the drive-thru of a local restaurant.

Officials say the 20-year-old woman was entering a Chick Fil A on Berlin Cross Keys Road in Gloucester Township. Authorities say the woman entered the Chick Fil A and was told by someone inside that she had dropped some money on the ground outside on her way in.

When she went back out into the parking lot, to retrieve the money, officials say she saw a man exit a gold minivan, grab her money and jumped back into the driver's seat of the van which was in the drive-thru.

Police say she began to talk to the man who tried to flee the parking lot. They add that while fleeing, he struck the woman and continued to leave the scene.

Gloucester Township Police released video from the scene and are asking people to share it.

Officials are looking for a gold Toyota Siena, or a similar model vehicle. The suspect is being described as a white male, in his early 20's, or late teens. Police say he wore a white t-shirt and blue shorts. They add that he had short brown hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911, or contact the Gloucester Township Police Department at 856-228-4500.
