Southwest Airlines Computer Glitch Makes For Messy Morning At Airport

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Southwest Airlines says most of their systems are back online following a computer glitch that grounded more than 900 flights across the country.
The problem started yesterday and spilled over into the morning.
At Southwest ticketing at Philadelphia International Airport, a long line of travelers are just trying to figure out what's next for them.
Giovanna is supposed to be heading out west for a wedding.
"We got an alert as we were driving here that our flight was canceled to San Diego."
That 7:15 a.m. flight, no more. Giovanna and so many others had to wait in line for at least an hour to re-book.
Others, like Amy, who's supposed to go to Iowa, wishes she got a heads up.
"We didn't get a text message. We didn't get any kind of notification. And I'm a little frustrated there are only four agents. I would think with today's technology they could have called in several people and have them on tablets."
Well, it was technology that got Southwest in this jam in the first place, causing hundreds of flights to be canceled or delayed.
A computer issue caused similar problems for Southwest travelers in October.
