Milo Yiannopoulos Predicted His Twitter Ban Months Ago

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Twitter has banned Milo Yiannopoulos, a tech editor of conservative website Breitbart, from its platform.

But for Milo, this shouldn't come as much of a surprise as he predicted the suspension months ago on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT.

In January, he told Rich Zeoli he thinks he will eventually be banned from Twitter.

"I certainly don't engage in anything abusive or anything like harassment or cruel or targeting any individual, but I don't suppose they like my jokes very much. I like to make jokes about feminists. I like to make jokes about Black Lives Matter. I like to make jokes about mass Muslim immigration and I don't see anything wrong with that."

Milo released the following statement on the ban, according to Breitbart, "With the cowardly suspension of my account, Twitter has confirmed itself as a safe space for Muslim terrorists and Black Lives Matter extremists, but a no-go zone for conservatives."

Yiannopoulos had previously told Zeoli, "Trust is being eroded by Twitter because they're making arbitrary, politically motivated decisions without being honest with their users. Now, if Twitter was just going to say, we're a liberal platform, we like progressive values, conservatives, watch out, if you step over the line or make jokes we don't like, we're probably going to ban you, users would, at least, appreciate the honesty. But Twitter doesn't do that."

Twitter's ban follows a tense stand-off between Milo and actress Leslie Jones, who reportedly faced harassment from Yiannopoulos' supporters on Twitter.

Now, Milo's supporters are using the hashtag #FreeMilo to protest Twitter's decision.
