Independence Visitor Center Souvenir Pokes Fun at Voter Anxiety

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Independence Visitor Center gift shop does brisk business in the summer. This year, one of the items on sale reflects voters' anxieties.

There's an embarrassment of souvenir riches, from bobblehead Ben Franklins to beer steins. And up front, a tee shirt for the Democrats or Republicans who fear the worst when all the presidential votes are counted.

Patricia was at the Independence Center and said the shirt grabbed her attention right as she walked in.

"Yes, that tee shirt right there. I took a picture of it, I think it's great!"

The shirt reads, "See you in four years. Moving to Canada!"

Patricia said it matches the country perfectly.

"Cause I think a lot of people are feeling that right now! Not literally, but the choices that we have."

But Patricia doesn't like it enough to buy it. Instead, she's sticking with her favorite kind of travel keepsake.

"Shot glasses. I'll put some vodka in it, I think."
