NJ Politician Calls Gov. Christie A 'Fat Bully' Over TTF Shutdown

TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) -- An executive order by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie brought a portion of road work in the state to a halt earlier this month. A debate over replenishing the Transportation Trust Fund led Christie to stopping all projects funded by it.

After the shutdown, North Bergen Freeholder Anthony Vainieri was not too pleased with the governor's decision, referring to him as being a bully for shutting down all the projects that rely on the fund.

"He's a fat bully in a schoolyard," Vainieri said to Hudson County View. "When a little kid doesn't get his way, he stamps his feet."

Vainieri also went after Christie's decision by taking to Facebook. He attacked the governor by going after his relationship with presidential hopeful Donald Trump. He wrote "call the governor and demand we fix our roads! You can call him at the Trump campaign, cause he's never in New Jersey."

For now, any project that started with TTF funding is now inactive.
