Montco Brush Fire Causes SEPTA Train Delays

LOWER MERION, Pa. (CBS) -- Crews responded to the scene of a brush fire in Lower Merion Township on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred shortly after 4:00 p.m.

The fire occurred just off to the side of train tracks. The Montgomery County blaze caused train delays.

According to SEPTA officials, trains traveling on the Thorndale Line are operating with delays in both directions due to the fire.

They say the fire took place between the Overbrook and Bryn Mawr stations.

Crews were able to place the fire under control around 5:13 p.m. They say that there was a total of four small fires that took place along the tracks. There is no word on the cause at this time.
