Hillary Clinton Cancels Campaign Stop In Scranton

SCRANTON, Pa. (CBS) -- The Democratic National Convention comes to the city of Philadelphia July 25-28.

According to Clinton's staff, Hillary Clinton and Vice President Joe Biden were supposed to be campaigning together in the Scranton area on July 8. This event has been postponed due to the tragic police shooting in Dallas.

They were scheduled to be in town for a Pennsylvania Democratic Party event where staffers say they'll discuss "their shared commitment to building an America that is stronger together and an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top."

Back in 2008, both Hillary and former president Bill Clinton appeared at an Obama/Biden campaign event at the Riverside Sports Complex alongside Joe Biden and his wife Jill.
