Phils Go For Sweep In Arizona Behind Eflin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies can finish their nine-game road trip with a winning record and complete a sweep of the Diamondbacks with a win this afternoon in Phoenix.
The Phils went 2-4 in stops in Minnesota and San Francisco, but they have won the first two games in Arizona. On Monday night they shutout the Diamondbacks 8-0. Then last night, the Phillies scored twice in the top of the ninth inning to pull out a 4-3 victory.
Zach Eflin will get the start today for the Phillies. The 22-year-old rookie right-hander is 0-2 in three starts since his call-up from the minor leagues and he has a 6.28 ERA. He got hit very hard in his MLB debut against Toronto, allowing eight earned runs in 2 2/3 innings. But in his two starts since then he has pitched good baseball, allowing just two earned runs in 11 2/3 innings.
One of Eflin's starts this year came against the Diamondbacks at Citizens Bank Park. He allowed two earned runs in 5 2/3 innings on June 19th, suffering a 5-1 loss.
Arizona counters on the mound today with right-hander Archie Bradley who is 3-3 with a 4.50 ERA. He got the win in that June 19th game, allowing just one unearned run in six innings.
Here is the lineup the Phillies will put up against Bradley:

- Peter Bourjos RF
- Cody Asche LF
- Maikel Franco 3B
- Tommy Joseph 1B
- Cameron Rupp C
- Freddy Galvis SS
