Children's Scholarship Fund Philadelphia Marks Milestone
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- On Thursday, the Children's Scholarship Fund of Philadelphia reached a milestone by granting 10,000 scholarships.
The annual student awards ceremony was held at the Kimmel Center where 2,000 kindergarten through 8th grade scholarships were given out.
The organization started in 1998 with a mission of helping low income Philadelphia families.
10 high school graduates also received college scholarships.
