Northwest Detective Headquarters Evacuated Following Bomb Scare
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Northwest Detective headquarters were evacuated Saturday night following a bomb scare.
Authorities say a man was brought into the Olney building for an undisclosed reason.
Police then found what they believed to be a pipe bomb in his backpack.
The building was immediately evacuated, according to police, until the bomb squad arrived.
Broad Street was shut down nearby until the device was removed.
