Franco To Miss Third Straight Game As Phillies Host Blue Jays

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After splitting two games with the Blue Jays in Toronto, the Phillies welcome the Jays to Citizens Bank Park for the final two games in this home and home series beginning tonight.

The Phils opened this set with a 7-0 win on Monday night, but the Blue jays rebounded in a big way yesterday afternoon with an 11-3 victory. Right-hander Zach Eflin made his MLB debut on the mound in that one, but really struggled, allowing nine runs in 2 2/3 innings of work.

Jeremy Hellickson will be on the mound tonight for the Phillies. The veteran right-hander is 4-4 this season with a 4.34 ERA. His last start was a loss in D.C. to the Washington Nationals as he allowed seven runs in six innings of work. Thanks to several years in Tampa Bay, Hellickson has an extensive resume against Toronto. He has made 15 career starts against the Blue Jays, going 5-4 with a 3.45 earned run average.

Phillies third baseman Maikel Franco will miss his third straight game due to a mild right knee sprain.

The Blue Jays will counter tonight with right-hander Marco Estrada. He is 4-2 this season and has a fine 2.57 ERA.

Here is the line-up for the Phillies tonight against Estrada:

1. Odubel Herrera CF
2. Freddy Galvis SS
3. Andres Blanco 3B
4. Tommy Joseph 1B
5. Cody Asche LF
6. Carlos Ruiz C
7. Cesar Hernandez 2B
8. Peter Bourjos RF
9. Jeremy Hellickson P
