Candlelight Vigil Set To Take Place In Philadelphia Following Orlando Mass Shooting

By Tim Jimenez

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A woman, working in Philadelphia, was among those wounded in the Orlando massacre. And in the wake of the shooting, a candlelight vigil is set to take place in Philadelphia tonight.

Patience Carter is an intern at FOX 29, according to the news station. In a statement, the station says she was shot in the leg and her friend was also injured. Both though, according to Carter's family, are in stable condition.

To honor those hurt like Carter, and the dozens of people killed, a vigil is scheduled in Philadelphia, 6:30 tonight at the north apron of City Hall, near the flag poles.

Nellie Fitzpatrick, the director of the mayor's office of LGBT affairs, talks about how to move forward from such a tragedy.

"It takes large, large-scale change. It takes education and it takes us coming together and supporting each other. No matter how different we are, we're all in this together."
