Phillies Place Vincent Velasquez On 15-Day DL

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Phillies have placed pitcher Vince Velasquez on the 15-day DL, the team announced on Friday.

Velasquez left Wednesday's game against the Cubs after just two pitches with right biceps strain. Velasquez is 5-2 with a 3.67 ERA in 11 starts this season.

The Phillies recalled right-handed pitcher Luis Garcia from Lehigh Valley (Triple-A).
