Dancer Accuses Eagles WR Nelson Agholor Of Sexual Assault

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  The Philadelphia Police Department's Special Victim's Unit is investigating the report of a 27-year-old dancer who alleges that she was sexually assaulted by Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor on Thursday afternoon at Cheerleaders Gentlemen's Club in South Philadelphia.

The Eagles released this statement:

"We are aware of the police investigation involving Nelson Agholor. The organization has been in contact with Nelson and with the proper authorities in Philadelphia. Because of the legal nature of this matter, we will have no further comment."

Lt. John Stanford says Special Victim's Unit is in the process of questioning people inside the club.

"From the interviews, and from this part of this preliminary investigation, this alleged incident occurred around 3 p.m."

Attorney Fortunator Perri Jr. says he is representing Agholor.

"Cheerleaders is aware of the allegation and the police investigation, and is cooperating fully with law enforcement."

Agholor, 23, was the Eagles' 20th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Agholor caught 23 balls for 283 yards and one touchdown.
