Philadelphia Police Seek Prisoner Who Escaped During Visit To Local Hospital

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police announced that they are seeking an escaped prisoner.

Officials say the prisoner escaped from Episcopal Hospital at 102 E. Lehigh Ave around 9:20 p.m.

Authorities identified the prisoner Hassan Mikell. Police describe Mikell as a 24-year-old black male, 5'8", 175 pounds with a beard and a tear drop tattoo on his face. They add that he has a light skinned complexion and wearing black clothing, black Timbaland boots and a GPS ankle monitor.

Officials say that the prisoner fled from Kintok Halfway House employee's while visiting the hospital.

His last known address is on the 1900 block of Carpenter Street.
