Bucks County Man Shares Rare Pictures Of Muhammad Ali

BUCKS COUNTY (CBS)  -- A Bucks County man has original photos of the late Muhammad Ali that even "The Greatest" himself had never seen.

"I'm the only one that has them, yeah," Craig Forchetti of New Hope.

Back in the 80's, Forchetti was an avid weightlifter. Bob Bonner, a photographer friend, asked him to model for an exercise advertisement and he agreed.

"I said sure and he came and [photographed] me in the gym, because I used to work out all the time," Forchetti said.

Later that week, the same photographer, also a friend of boxing legend, took photos of Ali at his personal training camp in Deer Lake, Schuykill County.

The photographer mixed up the photos and accidentally sent Ali's photos to Forchetti and vice versa. Ali let him keep them.

"The pictures you see are the only pictures you'll ever see, because they're the only ones made by the man who gave them to me," Forchetti said. "Even Muhammad never saw them."

"I held onto them," he added. "I have a gym down here and I hang them on there to give me inspiration."

Forchetti also has the negatives to about 40 photos of Ali. The ones hanging in his home gym are the only copies ever developed.
