The Roots Return To Philly And Bring Special Guest For Upcoming Roots Picnic
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Roots Picnic is back! The 9th annual all day concert will take over Festival Pier this Saturday.
The Roots Picnic is a one-of-a-kind, genre-bending festival that showcases the latest and greatest artists of today's music scene.
This year, the headliner backed by the Roots is Usher. The R&B superstar has a number of hits including "Yeah!" "OMG" and "You Make Me Wanna."
Rapper Future, Leon Bridges, DMX, Khalini, and Willow Smith- daughter of Will Smithand more will also take the stage Saturday.
Local artists on the ticket include Lil'Dicky, Lil Ozsie, and Go Go Morrow who says her performance will be an ode to the 90's.
"I choose to perform a lot of cool and iconic songs from that era and then as far as my originals go. I'm doing some mashups so its really high energy and its going to be a performance that everyone in the crowd can dance to," Go Go Morrow told KYW Newsradio.
