Cops: Stepfather Accused Of Raping Teen, Attacking Woman In Frankford

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Behind crime scene tape is a home that in many ways was a house of horrors overnight.

Police are investigating attacks on a woman and a teenage girl inside their Frankford home.

It happened on the 1900 block of Pratt Street.

The 13-year-old girl told police that her stepfather, identified as Malik Bailey, entered her bedroom where she was sleeping, pulled her from her bed, dragged her to the basement and sexually assaulted her.

She was taken to St. Christopher's for treatment.

Officers later found her 38-year-old woman badly beaten in a second floor bedroom.

Police say she is was admitted to ICU at Einstein Hospital in critical condition with a head injury from blunt force trauma.

Chief Inspector Scott Small says, "We believe two crimes were committed in this house, a sexual assault of a 13-year-old female and an aggravated assault of a 38-year-old female."

"She gave us the name and she pointed out where she lived and where it happened."

Police say the woman was beaten so badly she was missing teeth.

"This female was bleeding heavily from her face and her head. There was blood all over the bed," Inspector Small says.

Anyone with information on Malik Bailey's whereabouts is urged to contact Philadelphia Police.
