Atlantic County Police Investigate Fatal Hit-Run In Absecon

ABSECON, NJ (CBS) – Officials in Atlantic County are investigating after a man was struck and killed early Saturday morning by a vehicle that left the scene of the accident.

Around 4:12 a.m. on Saturday, Absecon Police responded to reports of a hit-run on the intersection of Route 30 and Route 9.

The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Kyle Marcy of Galloway Township, New Jersey.

Police say Marcy had exited a vehicle, in which he was a passenger, before being struck by a vehicle which stopped briefly before fleeing the scene of the incident.

After the accident, Marcy was transported to Atlantic City Medical Center-City Division, where he was later pronounced dead.
