Phila. Police Officer Injured In Accident In Germantown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Philadelphia police officer was injured this morning when his cruiser was struck by another car in Germantown.

Police say the officer was responding to a previous call when the accident happened at the intersection of Germantown Avenue and Price Street just after 11 a.m.

It's uncertain at this time if the cruiser had lights and sirens on.

The officer was transported to Einstein Hospital by paramedics.

The driver of the second vehicle was also taken to the hospital, her condition is unknown.
