President Obama To Honor Fallen Philadelphia Police Officer

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - President Obama will honor slain Philadelphia police officer Robert Wilson III on Monday.

The President will present Wilson's family with the Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor.

The award was created in 2001 to honor first responders for moments of bravery and courage.

The 30-year-old Wilson was killed last March when two men tried to rob a North Philadelphia GameStop store.

Twelve other officers will also receive the honor.
