Linwood Police Officer Almost Ran Over, Incident Caught On Body Cam

LINWOOD, Nj. (CBS) -- The Linwood Police Department is asking for the public's help.

On Wednesday night, officials say an officer was coming to the aid of a disabled vehicle on New Road near Searview Avenue.

According to police, a vehicle driving north sideswiped the officer's vehicle as the officer was getting out.

The incident was captured on the officer's body camera. The video was posted to the Linwood Police Department's Facebook page.

The patrol car was struck and the officer was just missed.

Police are describing that car as a silver or gray Nissan Altima, or similar type car. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Linwood Police Department at 609-927-5252.
