Hillary Clinton Rallies Crowd During Campaign Stop In Camden County

BLACKWOOD, N.J. (CBS) -- Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton brought her campaign to South Jersey on Wednesday as she stumps for votes ahead of the Garden State's primary election in June. Now that she holds a commanding lead over Bernie Sanders, her focus has shifted to the general election.

A crowd of thousands crammed into the gym at Camden County College in Blackwood and hung on Clinton's every word as the former First Lady shared her ideas for moving America forward.

"I am running a campaign that is focused on restoring the American dream, knocking down all the barriers that stand in the way of anybody getting ahead and staying ahead," Clinton told the crowd.

As she inches closer to the Democratic nomination, Clinton has her sights set on Donald Trump.

"I believe with all my heart that we are better than the campaign that the presumptive nominee for the Republicans is running." she said. "It's pretty clear at this point that we're going to have a real difference in the general election."

Clinton spent about an hour on stage and touched on the subjects that everybody wanted to hear.

"Tremendous! I loved her speech today," said a supporter. "She was talking about opportunity for all Americans, about women having the right to choose, make their own health decisions, about having jobs come back to America."

Mark Trost from Pennsauken, New Jersey believes it's time for the millennials who support Sanders to show up for Hillary.

"We know Hillary," he said. "We know she is here to fight for us."

New Jersey's primary is June 7th.
