Soul Look To Stay Hot Against Winless Tampa Monday

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Philadelphia Soul are preparing for a second straight Monday night game as they will welcome the Tampa Bay Storm to the Center.

Philadelphia won its third straight game, and improved to 4-1, this past Monday with a 56-33 road victory against the LA KISS.

"It's really hard to go from East Coast to West Coast to get a win," Soul head coach Clint Dolezel tells KYW Newsradio. "Then to get one handily like we did, I was definitely proud of our guys and impressed with how we handled ourselves. We had some adversity early on and overcame that pretty quick, separated and kept the separation. So yeah, I was real pleased."

The Soul got another big game from quarterback Dan Raudabaugh. He was 18-of-26 throwing the football for 250 yards and six touchdowns.

Defensively, the Soul held Los Angeles to 206 yards of total offense and just 12 second-half points.

The 2016 season has been a struggle to this point for the Tampa Bay Storm. They are 0-4 and they have yet to score more than 29 points in a game. Last time out they lost to Jacksonville, 33-27.

"They haven't rolled the same quarterback out there," Dolezel says. "Out of four games, because they had a bye week, they've had four different quarterbacks. We will see their vet this week though, he's back in the lineup."

The Soul and the Storm get underway at 8 p.m. Monday.
