Police: Stray Bullet Goes Through Window, Grazes Man In The Head

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- According to Philadelphia Police, just after 9:00 p.m., a man was struck by a stray bullet on Friday night in the city's Strawberry Mansion area.

Authorities say that a man, 59, was sitting in a home on the 2400 block of N. 23rd Street when a bullet came through the window. Authorities say the man was in the 2nd floor front bedroom.

After entering the home, the bullet grazed the man in the head, according to police. Two more bullets entered and struck the television and the wall.

The man was taken to Temple University Hospital and was placed in stable condition. Police say at least 14 shots were fired about half a block away.

No suspect description has been given at this time.
