Powerball Players Dream Big As Jackpot Grows Again

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - With no big winner in Saturday night's Powerball drawing, the jackpot now stands at $348 million.

According to the Killerasteroids.org, your odds of being killed by an asteroid are 1 in 720,000, while your odds of hitting the jackpot in the Powerball drawing are 1 in 292 million.

But that's not going stop people from occasionally kissing $2 goodbye in exchange for a Powerball ticket.

But Allison says she and her husband, Chis, don't make a habit of it:

"We'll buy the occasional ticket hoping we have a chance, but we certainly don't make any life plans around it."

The great thing about an enormous pile of money that you haven't a ghost of a chance winning is -- the sky's the limit when it comes to dreaming about what you'll do with it.

Malik's got the right idea.

"What would I do? I'd buy a soul plane, and start the first African American airline. Nah, I think the first thing I would do is help the homeless situation in Philadelphia. It's really ridiculous to come downtown in Center City and see people sleeping on the streets. So I would definitely do something about that. After I buy my cars and my house. And the Soooooooooulllll Plane!"

The next drawing takes place Wednesday night.
