Eagles Would Give Browns Five Picks In Potential Trade Up, Per Report

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's a quarterback driven league and the Philadelphia Eagles seem far from content at that position.

Despite signing both Sam Bradford and Chase Daniel this past offseason, the Eagles are -- according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com --  a "likely" trade partner with the Browns in moving up to the No. 2 overall pick in hopes of snagging one of the top two QB prospects in Jared Goff or Carson Wentz.

The NFL Network's Jeff Darlington reports the Browns are "actively shopping" the pick.

ESPN's Adam Schefter also reports there is "interest" in the Browns' pick.

So what would it take for the Birds to get from No. 8 to No. 2? According to Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com, it would take five total picks.

The Eagles would give up, in this potential trade: 2016 first round pick (No. 8), 2016 third round pick (No. 77), 2016 third round pick (No. 79), 2017 first round pick, and 2017 third round pick for pick No. 2.

Last week, the Los Angeles Rams and the Tennessee Titans made a blockbuster deal, which may have laid the groundwork for a potential Browns trade back.

The Titans received the Rams' 2016 first-round pick (No. 15), two 2016 second-round picks, a 2016 third-round pick, plus the Rams' first and third-round picks in 2017.

The Rams moved up from No. 15 to No. 1, and also received two 2016 late-round picks.
