Police Seek Suspect Who Stole Packages From Outside A Delaware Home

BEAR, De. (CBS) -- New Castle County Police are searching for a suspect that they say stole packages from the front porch of a home in the Calvarese Farms area.

The suspect was caught on surveillance walking up to the front porch of a home and taking packages off the porch. The New Castle County Police have released the surveillance video and are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect.

Police say that on Monday, New Castle County Police responded to the 200 block of Marjoram Drive around 3:15 p.m., where a woman told them that she was supposed to be receiving some packages that afternoon.

She said that her home surveillance footage captured the suspect on video, taking the packages around 2:30 p.m.

Authorities found the empty boxes near a neighboring home.

Officials say the suspect appears to be a white male, between 30 and 40-years-old. Officials say he is 5'5" to 5'7" and weighs around 175 pounds. He has a clean shaven head and wore a black shirt, light gray pants and was carrying a red bag.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call New Castle County Police at 302-573-2800.

The New Castle County Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a thief that took packages from a front porch in the community of Calvarese Farms.
