CBSSports Mock Draft: Eagles Trade Up For Carson Wentz

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There has already been one mega-NFL Draft trade and we're still nine days away from the start of round one. The newest NFL mock draft has the Eagles involved in another QB-based draft day deal.

With the Los Angeles Rams trading up to No. 1 in order to, presumably, draft one of the top-two future franchise quarterback prospects -- Jared Goff and Carson Wentz -- the other will be up for grabs.

CBSSports.com Pete Prisco believes the Eagles and Browns will work out a deal giving Philadelphia pick No. 2, with Cleveland moving back to No. 8. The Browns signed QB Robert Griffin III this offseason and do not necessarily need a quarterback. Albeit, with Sam Bradford and Chase Daniel, one could certainly argue neither do the Eagles.

Prisco has the Eagles taking Wentz, a guy the Eagles have shown interest in, with the second overall pick after Goff goes first overall to the Rams.

Speaking on Tuesday's 94WIP Mike & Ike Show, NJ.com Eagles writer Eliot Shorr-Parks also believes the Eagles are eyeing that No. 2 slot for Wentz.

"I think the Eagles want Carson Wentz...They've met with him five times this offseason," Shorr-Parks said. "They've might have met with him more than any other prospect in the draft. Now, the more reports you read -- and granted they are just reports -- it seems like Jared Goff might be that [No. 1] pick [to the Rams]."

"I think the Browns are very willing to trade out of that pick," Shorr-Parks continued. "Adam Schefter from ESPN reported that they are taking offers for that pick, that they're actively calling and trying to see what teams would give them for it."
