Food Truck Review: No. 26

BONJOUR CREPERIE

This truck certainly gets around the burbs – Bucks County, Chester, Montgomery. We caught up with it at a food truck fest in Williamstown, N.J. You can follow it at www.bonjourcreperie.com.

Anyway, it's a creative concept – meat or dessert crepes, made right on the truck and wrapped around a mix of fresh ingredients. We were excited to check it out.

The verdict? Meh. Not bad, but certainly nothing special. The $10 "Jojo" featured grilled chicken, crispy bacon and triple cheese blend with "our sweet, tangy BBQ sauce." Sorry, but the blend was bland, the bacon wasn't crispy and the BBQ sauce was rather generic. Not a terrible dish, but not of the excellence of most of the food trucks we've visited during this venture.

The $8 "Olivia" was a dessert item featuring strawberries, dark chocolate syrup (Hershey's?) and whipped cream. Fun. Nothing special, certainly, but a sweet, well-constructed crepe.
