Villanova Wildcats Ring Opening Bell At NY Stock Exchange

By Tom Rickert

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The bears and the bulls took the morning off -- Wall Street's gone to a whole bunch of Wildcats.

"Well this is a great honor. Fresh from the opening bell, it's the Villanova Wildcats, Nova."

Jim Cramer normally wears a suit and tie for his hosting gig, but today he ran with a blue-and-white Villanova jacket, while Ryan Arcidiacono, Daniel Ochefu, and college-basketball's national championship-winning head coach rang in the start of the trading day.

"The idea that I see about Villanova is teamwork, which is what you get in business."

And you can't let a good metaphor go to waste in the TV stock-market game.

"The great businesses that win, are the CEO inspires, everybody buys in. It seems like the Nova way to do things."

"That's exactly how we want to do things."

Cramer didn't let Coach Jay Wright leave without trying his best to get some inside information.

"Obviously, there are other opportunities to be open to you, but you seem to really bleed Nova, to bleed Wildcat. You're not going anywhere."

"Nah, I love it there, I do. Jimmy put me on the spot! He got it, he's hedging this one!" "I know you're staying!"

Wright followed up, saying Villanova puts graduation and education before everything else, and he loves being a part of that culture.
