PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Organ donation was in the spotlight at Jefferson Hospital today as part of 'National Donate Life Month'.
After undergoing the agony of watching her 22-year-old son Bob pass away, Linda Selvey Coyle found solace in knowing that one of his organs saved another person's life.
"We were in a hospital setting to make a decision for him. But all we could do was honor his decision. And his decision was to donate."
Joanne Brusich of Delaware received a life saving liver transplant after suffering for years, first from Hepatitis C and then liver cancer.
"I think about it every day. I wake up every morning and often hold my hand on my side and thank God and thank my donor and my donor's family."
The ceremony also featured the unveiling of a donors quilt which will be placed on permanent display at Jefferson.
