SEPTA: Person Fatally Struck By Train

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – SEPTA is running shuttle bus service this morning on the Market-Frankford line after a person was struck and killed by an eastbound train near the 40th Street station.

It happened about 7 o'clock this morning.

Police remain on the scene at this hour. No details have been released.

Krista Jasillo works in the city and boarded the train at 69th Street and had to get off at 52nd Street..

"There are a lot of people here and they're quite angry. There's really no crowd control at all and you just have to hope that a bus stops in front of you and you can hop on real quick."

Jasillo says she managed to do just that and was on her way to 30th Street to reboard the Market-Frankford train.

SEPTA is advising riders they could see delays of up to an hour because of this incident.
