By Tim Jimenez

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Flyers fans are mourning the loss of the father of the team they're so passionate about.

One fan put it this way, "Ed Snider is Philadelphia Flyers hockey."

Those at the Sports Complex like Kevin, can't believe that such an iconic figure is gone.

A public memorial service is planned for the Wells Fargo Center in the near future.

And with the Flyers back in the playoffs, fans say it's only fitting for the team to win a Stanley Cup for the man who seemed to not want anything more than to take home another one.
