Sources: LeSean McCoy Not Expected To Face Charges In Alleged Brawl

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's about two months since LeSean McCoy was allegedly involved in a bar fight with off-duty Philadelphia police officers on February 7th, 2016.

According to CBS3's Walt Hunter, D.A. Seth Williams is expected to announce that McCoy will not face charges on Monday afternoon during a 2:30 p.m. press conference.

94WIP's Howard Eskin confirmed Hunter's report.

The report was discussed Monday morning on the 94WIP Morning Show.

"Rhea [Hughes] just reported what Ralph Cipriano at Bigtrial.net has announced that the D.A. will call a news conference...that no charges will be filed against anyone, despite severe injuries sustained by two off-duty police officers," Angelo Cataldi said on Monday. "According to Ralph...there were so many different versions of what happened inside of Recess Lounge, no single account can be proven. No single account can be locked down."

Monday is a busy day in sports, especially in Philadelphia, with the Phillies opening their season and Villanova basketball playing in the National Championship game.

"Timing it to announce it today...well it's the start of baseball season, well maybe it'll get pushed aside for that," Cataldi continued. "Wouldn't have happened. Well, we've got a National Championship game now, this is the perfect day to slide it through.

"This does not satisfy me at all. But all I can tell you is that two guys got hurt and none of Shady's guy got hurt and everybody walks away clean. I don't like it."

On February 25th, Fraternal Order of Police president John McNesby said, "I would find it very unlikely that he is not charged."
