'Real World' Coming To Philly Looking For Cast Members

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Since 1992, MTV's 'Real World' has explored what happens when total strangers live together and have their daily lives recorded and broadcast on television.

The show is gearing up to cast its 32nd season and there will be an open casting call in Philadelphia next weekend.

If you're at least 21 years old and don't care about privacy, then this could be your big break.

"The casting process really prides itself on finding people who come from all over the country with different stories, different backgrounds to see how well they mesh together," says Themi Chahales – the show's casting director. "That's kind of part of the whole social experiment."

She says the first interview is in a group setting:

"They can kinda talk about some interesting facts about themselves. Tell a story or two."

They are looking for people who are open and honest, charismatic, interesting, with a sense of style and are willing to show who they are and what sets them apart.

The casting call is Saturday, April 9th from 10 am to 5 pm at Paddy Whack's Irish Pub.

Filming takes place this summer, but the location has yet to be determined.
