Local Cat Rescue Organization Celebrates Decade Of Service

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  You're invited to a party promising to be the cats meow. The event is a fundraiser for a cat rescue organization celebrating its 10th year.

Perfect Paws Rescue has placed nearly 12-hundred cats into forever homes and has trapped, neutered, and returned about a thousand community cats over the past decade.

Donna Interrante is the president and founder of Perfect Paws Rescue. On Saturday they'll be celebrating their work and mission at a big fundraiser party this coming Saturday night at Anthony's Restaurant in Drexel Hill.

"Our local businesses have been more than generous," Interrante said. "There are some extraordinary gifts that we have, including tickets to Billy Joel's concert here in Philadelphia on July 9th that we are looking to give to some lucky person, we are hoping for a huge turnout."

Tickets are 50 dollars a piece and include a buffet, wine & beer, and dancing.
