Crews Respond To Partial House Collapse In Fishtown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- According to officials, the Philadelphia Fire Department responded to the 1100 block of Earl Street, in Fishtown, after reports of a house collapse.

Crews arrived on the scene around 5:38 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.

Upon arrivals, crews discovered a three-story home, under construction that partially collapsed. Police say the rear roof and side wall collapsed.

No injuries have been reported at this time. Officials added that the property behind the home on the 400 block of Girard Avenue, was evacuated as a precaution.

Traffic has been blocked at Columbia Avenue and Girard Avenue.

Officials say it is unclear whether or not workers were inside at the time of the collapse.
