Historic Philadelphia Kicks Off Its 11th Season

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- As the warm weather breaks, Historic Philadelphia starts the season with educational activities.
Amy Needle, executive director of Historic Philadelphia says how they'll be kicking off their 11th season Memorial Day weekend:
"With that is all of our storytelling benches, we'll have 13 this season. We're also bringing back the Independence After Hours Tour, where you have dinner at City Tavern and then you go "sneak in" to the state house and you get to hear the goings-on of Thomas Jefferson and John Adams."
If you prefer bars over restaurants, they're also bringing back the Tippler's Tour:
"Which also kicks off Memorial Day weekend and then runs all through the end of the year every Thursday night."
Be sure to catch some of the historic storytellers behind Independence Hall:
"At the end of the day, every day, during the summer, we do a Declaration of Independence reading and that's behind Independence Hall at 3:30 and 4:30 every day."
Meanwhile, Franklin Square Park celebrates 10 years since being renovated. That's open now with an Easter egg hunt scheduled for Easter Saturday, and the first ever Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival on April 22nd.
