Katelyn Darrow founded the Angels of God Clothing Closet to give back after neighbors helped her family 7 years ago. "We've always had a consistency of donations and we've never really been short of clothing here at the Clothing Closet and food in our food pantry," she told KYW Newsradio. "It's always been really stocked."

The organization now has a $5,000 check from a foundation run by actress Jane Seymour, who selected Darrow's group and three others from 1,300 contest submissions nationwide.

"She was open about what had happened to her, the circumstances they had been through and she very specifically created an organization that would help people like her," Seymour said.

The four groups face off in an online contest next month for a $10,000 grant. Details at www.celebratingopenheartscontest.com.
