Football Coach Resigns Amid Hazing Controversy At Conestoga High School
TREDYFFERIN, P.A., (CBS) -- The football coach at Conestoga High School in the Tredyfferin-Easttown School district has resigned, effective immediately. The announcement was made in a letter to parents in the school district this afternoon.
The resignation of Coach John Vogan comes in the wake of an assault on a freshman football player in October.

All other coaches in the varsity and junior varsity football program have also been relieved of their coaching responsibilities.
The assault is now the subject of an internal investigation by the school district.
An investigation by the Chester County District Attorney's office has resulted in charges against three seniors. They are charged with allegedly penetrating a young player with a broomstick. The trio face charges of assault, conspiracy, unlawful restraint and other crimes.
The district is also holding a public meeting on March 28th to discuss the ongoing investigation. A spokesman says any students who may have been victims in the hazing incidents have been offered support from the district.
