Nova-Temple Session Proving Popular Aftermarket Ticket Seller

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- St Joe's leaves this morning for Spokane, Washington, ahead of the Hawks' first-round NCAA tournament game on Friday. This afternoon, Villanova and Temple will bus up to Brooklyn for their own contests at the end of the week. And it looks like the Wildcats and Owls will have plenty of hometown fans in their corner.

The session featuring Villanova-UNC Asheville and Temple-Iowa is second in StubHub sales only to the session that includes Notre Dame and West Virginia, which is also at the Barclays Center.

Cameron Papp is a spokesman for the ticket reseller and says prepare to pay a pretty penny for top seats.

"For the Nova and Temple match ups, it's about $40 for get-in price," Papp says. "That's going to get you pretty high up, in the upper corner. For the best value, middle sideline seats, for both games that's going to go for around $100-$120. For two games, it's a pretty good deal."

Then there's this stat: one in every five StubHub seats for the Nova-Temple session is sold to a buyer from PA, while locals account for only a fraction of the sales for the St Joe's game out west.

"That's not surprising, that's a long travel just for a first-round game," he says.

When flights and hotel are added to the average ticket price, Priceline and TiqIQ.com say to figure around $700 to root for the Hawks against Cincinnati.
