Howie Roseman: 'We Have Not Talked About Trading Sam Bradford'

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There is plenty of intrigue surrounding the quarterback position of the Philadelphia Eagles.

After re-signing Sam Bradford to a two-year deal worth $22 million guaranteed and signing former Kansas City Chiefs backup Chase Daniel to a three-year deal worth $12 million guaranteed -- a lucrative contract for a second-string QB -- Bradford trade rumors have been to swirl.

With multiple teams around the league still in need of a starting quarterback, the Eagles moving into the top-10 of the first-round thanks to a trade with the Miami Dolphins, and Bradford's reported non-guaranteed contract until March 18th, many believe trading the 28-year-old is a strong possibility.

"I can tell you in all honesty, I have not looked at the cap ramifications of trading Sam Bradford because it's not anything that we've talked about," Eagles personnel executive Howie Roseman said on Thursday. "In terms of trading anyone, I think I said this to [director of public relations] Derek [Boyko] this morning, if we had an opportunity to trade Derek Boyko and it would help our football team -- what I say Derek? He said, 'I got no value.'"

Mark Sanchez is the third QB on the Eagles' roster, for now. The Eagles can save $3.5 million on their cap by releasing him, but Roseman is likely attempting to acquire another late-pick for Sanchez right now.

"So that's the business we're in," Roseman continued. "We're open for business. If we see things that make us a better football team, help the Philadelphia Eagles -- I mean we owe it to our fans, we owe it to our ownership, we owe it to this building to explore those things."
