Jay Lloyd's Getaway: Forever Getaway

By Jay Lloyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Ever think you want to get away from it all? Many people do just that.

Tired of the cubicle, the daily grind, the grime? Want to get up and go?

"I lived in Kensington, so I decided to come up here. It's a really good area," said Frank Costello.

To Frank Costello, here is the Adirondack village of Ticonderoga. I met him on a recent visit where he hangs out at a little curio shop run by his buddy, George Bemers another transplant.

"I've met some great, great people. It's a nice community," said Bemers.

Frank is retired, but George works - no longer for a company, but building Adirondack furniture and tending a shop where you can buy mementos from barber poles to cameos. Both men love the clear air and outdoor life with few complications.

"You got the lakes and a lotta' good fishin,'" said Costello.

It's a permanent getaway trend that's gaining a lot of steam.
